How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of those who bring good news - Isaiah 52:7

I know, some days you feel completely inadequate and totally unqualified to be used by God for anything substantial. And then there are other days you feel like you are Jesus' best friend and can do no wrong. What makes the Christian walk so special is we are all trying to do our best as we desperately try and cling to Jesus in this all-but-easy world. Jesus wants us...you and me...to be fully present exactly where we are. If you are like me, you move throughout your day doing ordinary things. We work, we care for our families, we serve others, we hang out with friends, and we spend time with Jesus in God's Word. If we are paying attention, we might even witness small glimpses of God at work. These small glimpses of God's goodness enable us to wake up each morning and start over again.

Being called by God to be His hands and feet is not for the faint of heart. My feet may get dusty as I travel the road ahead, but God said in Isaiah 52:7, "How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of the messenger who brings good news, the good news of peace and salvation, the news that the God of Israel reigns!" Writing, speaking, and teaching about God's Word enables me to turn my ordinary days into extraordinary God moments because every time I open my Bible, Jesus is there with me. That makes every day a special day.
